Tasks
Tasks are the heart of Atlas. Add one from the quick-add box on Home, from the command palette (⌘K), or with the global quick-add hotkey from anywhere on your Mac.
A task can carry:
- a deadline (optional) — drives sorting and where it shows up; tasks without one stay in Home’s collapsible Undated section rather than landing on a specific day,
- a subject (optional) — the task inherits the subject’s colour,
- a free-form label, a priority, and a markdown description,
- subtasks with their own checklist progress,
- an optional recurrence rule.
Completing a recurring task automatically creates the next occurrence. Completed tasks are archived, not deleted — you can find them again in Archive, with search and filters.
