Subjects
Subjects are your courses. Each one carries a name, a course code, a faculty and a colour — and that colour then follows it everywhere: on task chips, on calendar events, on nodes in the graph. Colour-coding by subject is how the rest of Atlas stays readable once a term gets busy.
Grades
Section titled “Grades”Record graded work against a subject — assignments, problem sets, midterms, whatever it’s marked out of — and Atlas keeps a weighted average for the course. Not a running mean that treats a 5% quiz like a 40% exam, but a weighted one that reflects what the work is actually worth.
Averages render against the grade scale you pick in Settings, so a percentage becomes the letter (or the mark) your institution actually uses.

Section titled “”What do I need on the final?””The question every student asks in week eleven. Give Atlas a target — the grade you’re trying to hold — and it tells you what you’d need to score on the work that’s left to get there.
It’s arithmetic, not a promise. But it’s arithmetic you’d otherwise be doing on the back of an envelope at midnight, and getting wrong.
